In the IDW comics the Utrom Warlord Krang has a force of human or human-like soldiers from Dimension X, whose equipment partially recalls the Mirage Comics' Federation. From their ranks come the Stone Soldier troops who Krang used the mutagen on to enhance their individual combat power. The Stone Soldiers are serving Krang at the moment as a shock force to perform the most difficult tasks in his campaigns, while not-yet-turned soldiers usually receive lower duties and function as cannon fodder.
