In 1937, the Oliver Hart-Parr 70 tractor was replaced by the streamlined Oliver 70. The Hart-Parr name was dropped from the radiator housing which had become a pressed steel design in place of the heavy cast version used before. The Oliver 70 model was available in several variations: row crop with single front wheel, dual front wheels or wide front axle and also as a standard, orchard or industrial model. The tractor had a six-speed transmission but on tractors sold with steel wheels the 5th and 6th gear gates were blocked off to restrict top speed. The tractor was fitted with a Oliver Waukesha designed 6-cylinder petrol or Petrol/TVO engine.
