The estate was consisted of three 12 storey tower blocks, a 7 storey tower block, and four 6 storey blocks of maisonettes, as well as numerous terraced houses. The tower blocks overlooked Nechells Parkway (A47), whereas the maisonette blocks formed a row along Rupert Street. Two of the 12 storey tower blocks were constructed either side of the old Great Lister Street, which were Sycamore House & Chestnut House.
