The 1956-21 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series (now West Series) combination event held at Portland Speedway on May 27, 1956. Herb Thomas began a three-race winning streak by edging out John Kieper for the victory. Buck Baker, the eventual Cup season champ, did not compete in the event. Stats
