The widows property is used in CSS and certain HTML elements. In printing, a "widow" is the last line of a paragraph appearing alone at the top of a page. This property avoids widows by specifying the minimum number of lines of a paragraph that appear at the top of a page when a Web page is printed. This property applies to block-level elements. To specify the minimum number of lines to be left at the bottom of the page, use orphans.
