an Entity in Data Space: dbkwik.org

In planetary classification, a class B geomorteus planet is a type of planet. This type of planet is usually very close to, and heated by, a parent star, featuring very little native geothermal energy. The atmosphere of these worlds is usually tenuous, and features little or no chemically active particles. No lifeforms have ever been discovered on these planets. Mercury is an example of a class B geomorteus planet. (ST reference: Star Charts) This classification should not be confused with the class B gas giant planet described in ST references: Star Trek Maps, The Worlds of the Federation.
