The starship Jason was a colony ship built for Manticore Colony, LTD to take its colonists and equipment to the Manticore System. Jason was launched from Earth on October 24, 775 PD, years before the use of Warshawski sails revolutionized space travel. In 1416 PD, the ship arrived at Manticore A-III after a voyage of 642 T-years, and sent down a shuttle. The landing site became the future city of Landing, and the large bay next to the site became known as Jason Bay. (HH1)
