'The Wide Window (2000) is the third novel in A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. In the novel, the Baudelaire children are shipped off to live with their distant aunt whose house if perched on a cliff overhanging Lake Lachrymose. The children believe that they have finally gone far enough away to escape the clutches of Count Olaf until they notice a strange looking sea captain. Will the children escape Count Olaf with the help of Aunt Josephine or will she become more of a hindrance than a help?
