Features of the PRM1X include a mahogany body with flamed maple top, a Wizard Prestige neck, DiMarzio pickups, a double locking tremolo that has L.R. Baggs active piezo pickup saddles for acoustic-like sound. The magnetic pickup volume knob is placed lower on the guitar body because it was getting the way of Rondat's right hand in the standard location. The PRM1X was only produced in 2007 and in limited quantities. Only 30 guitars were made. The PRM1X was only available in Sapphire Blue although Patrick Rondat has been seen with a red version which is perhaps a pre-production or custom model.
