USS Kelvin (NCC-0514) was a Federation Kelvin-class starship in the early 23rd century commanded by Captain Richard Robau. It's First Officer in 2233 was Lieutenant Commander George Kirk, soon-to-be father of famous starfleet captain James T. Kirk. In 2245, it was destroyed over Donatu V by Klingons. The Soyuz-class starship USS Kelvin was named after the Kelvin.
