The Hub was one of the largest S.H.I.E.L.D. facilities. It served as a secondary headquarters for S.H.I.E.L.D. and one of its primary staging grounds and provider of back-end support for on-going operations. After the HYDRA Uprising, it was occupied by the United States Armed Forces.
