Jane Archibald was an Australian doctor. She was educated in the 1960s at the Russie Medical College in Jerusalem, a medical school run by the Race. She was a class-mate of Reuven Russie's, whose father was the namesake of the school. Jane disliked the Race immensely; Australia had been thoroughly crushed during its invasion, but she knew she couldn't fight them directly. Instead, she decided to learn everything she could from them, and then find a way into a country not ruled by the Race.
