A reference to an event which is in all of the synoptic gospels as well as in the gospel of John where Jesus finds a temple being used as a currency exchange and livestock market and goes a wee bit psycho. Also possibly a reference to "Put Your Hand in the Hand," a 1971 hit for Ocean - "when I read about the part where the carpenter cleared the temple"
