Cassidy attempted to con a man outside of an auto repair shop by selling fake necklaces. The man, however, was skeptical of the authenticity of the jewelry, and, seeing through the con, announced that he was going to call the police. Kate, who had been standing nearby, realized that the police's arrival would mean danger for her. In order to keep the man from calling, Kate bought a necklace from Cassidy, stating that she thought they were authentic. The man subsequently did not call the police. ("Left Behind")
