A Stop Comm order was a solicitude made to the government of the Old Republic. It was intended to help the Republic when it wanted to withhold a fact from the public when they wanted to notify the press first. In 25 BBY, Tyro Caladian used a Stop Comm order to delay for three days the notification of the capture of the Slams.
