Production first began in late 2013 and the movie was officially teased at the Japan Expo 2014 in Paris, France. It's set for theatrical release on Februrary 14th, 2015 in Japan, March 7th for Europe, and July 7th for North America. The movie received an 84% and 8.5/10 from Rotten Tomatoes based off of 112 reviews. Well-known anime critic Joeseph Steroni says, "[Sins of the Saiyans] is the most innovative and pleasing Dragon Ball movie since Wrath of the Dragon." The movie was directed by upcoming Canadian-French director, Alexandre Morel.
