Alex was born in Salis D'aar on the planet Bakura to parents Drew and Mira Faulkner. His mother died soon after the birth of his younger brother Adam, due to complications. His father instilled in him a deep sense of honor and duty to the Empire. Like most of the bakuran people, he was mistrustful of other alien species and droids.
