Sharps is an engineer, a scientist, a philosopher, and reluctantly, a medic; practically a Renaissance Man among Transformers. He was created on Cybertron during the time that Optimus Prime and Megatron were absent from Transformer history, and changed bodies shortly after they re-awakened the Cybertronian Civil War. While he has always been a Decepticon, for some strange reason, pursuits of the mind have been his primary means of personal fulfillment, rather than the making of war. Since his arrival on Earth, he has been studying Earth cultures with an interest not unlike that of the Junkions, except with a focus on social sciences rather than popular entertainment.
