Dylan was a cancer patient that David Metcalfe met in the Hotten General Hospital cancer ward waiting room. Dylan gave David advice about the vending machine, and they got talking. Dylan explained he had stage 3c testicular cancer, and had undergone radiation therapy first then chemotherapy, but the cancer had spread to his lung, and wasn't moving. He told David that he really wanted to finish Year 13 of school, but was unsure if he would be well enough. A month later Dylan talked to David and his step-son Jacob Gallagher when David returned for his first chemotherapy session. He and Jacob bonded over Fifa and Dylan later sent Jacob some cheat codes. The following morning Dylan passed away due to an infection on his lungs.
