Longfoot knew where Avery's treasure was hidden, and, fearing that his former crewmates would eventually catch up with him, gave the Doctor clues to its location. After the Doctor and his companions left, Cherub arrived and questioned Longfoot. Longfoot refused to tell Cherub his secret, and Cherub stabbed him. His body was found by Tom, the stable boy.
