Since working on Equestria Girls, Rudell has had no involvement in seasons four or five. He has stated in an interview that, since being promoted to co-director for Rainbow Rocks, he has worked more closely with fellow directors Jayson Thiessen and Jim Miller. In the official My Little Pony Friendship is Magic guidebook The Elements of Harmony, Rudell is credited as "Ishi Ruddell".
