The Vampire class sloop is a limited edition ship available from shipyards in September (and late August) 2012. The design and layout is quite a bit different from a normal sloop. Each vampire sloop comes with a vampire NPP, who remains aboard the ship permanently. This NPP does not count as a crew member.
