Jerry Lamana was an FBI agent and former partner to Fox Mulder in the Violent Crimes Division. He enlisted Mulder's aid in the investigation of several murders related to a computer firm. Lamana betrayed Mulder's trust by using Mulder's criminal profile as his own to ingratiate himself with his superiors after an embarrassing slip-up. While investigating the computer company, Lamana was killed in an elevator by the artificial intelligence system. (TXF: "Ghost in the Machine")
