When Daryl mastered the Sky Eco-Zone in the Data Node Animal video game, he had no idea that his own Eagle avatar would manifest in the real world and give him its Power Cube, turning him into the Red DNA Ranger to fight the vicious Encryptids. Later he would get transported into the game's secret Rainforest Eco-Zone and gain the power to assume Gorilla Mode when he frees the Gorilla avatar. When the Encyptids attempt to trap Daryl on an iceberg in the game's unreleased Deep Sea Eco-Zone, he finds the game's hidden power up; the Whale Cannon. The Whale Cannon allowed Daryl to assume Whale Mode.
