Hanson is the Chief Inspector of the NSB. He is a man of duty, and follows orders to the letter, including a directive to execute Oscar Goldman in the event of capture. Hanson's entire team is made up of "9"s (Security Clearance code 9). He has a classic case of interagency rivalry, mistrusting OSI agents, and Jaime Sommers in particular. He dismisses Rudy's security clearance as OSI issue, claiming that "There are elements in both operations that we don't even happen to tell each other."
