Thomas "Red" Reeves was a young boy living in an unnamed American city. When his mother grounded him for a day for playing marbles on the street, he went to explore the basement. He found a marble that contained a "genie." The genie gave him a magic wand, but since Red was still young and inexperienced, the genie often had to help his young master out.
