Riccimer was the jarl of the Laughing Lynx Clan of the Bizogot. Riccimer was the fattest mammoth-hunter that Count Hamnet Thyssen had ever seen. When he offered his hospitality to Thyssen's band as they traveled through Laughing Lynx territory, Riccimer announced he would take Gudrid to bed despite her protestations. The only thing that averted an incident was the diplomacy of Ulric Skakki and Trasamund, which allowed Riccimer to back down and retain face.
