When nesting sloks are arranged in pairs. The females sloks lay five to thirty-five eggs. The males and females then share egg-sitting duties. The females sits on the eggs for a while, every few hours they trade places with the males. The eggs of sloks take about four weeks to hatch. One hundred sloks escaped into Daventry and caused all kinds of problems.
