Nelson was a member of Starfleet in the late 24th century. In 2373, Nelson was a member of the USS Enterprise-E crew under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. After the Enterprise travelled to the year 2063, Nelson was assimilated by the Borg, then died when the Borg Queen was destroyed. (TNG novel: Rogue)
