The Siege of Kunoe was a certain battle during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (16th century) of Japan. The castle of Kunoe was defended by that of Kunoe Masazane, equipped with 5,000 troops. This rather minor siege, however, represented the last resistance toward Toyotomi Hideyoshi's supreme unification of Japan. It is not known how many men were under the Toyotomi during this siege, but Gamo Ujisato took the castle within a moderate length of time.
