Ali Dean appeared as Gamal, an assistant of archaeologist Dr. Mustafa El-Razul, a colleague of fellow archaeologist Dr. Dale Conway, Sam's latest leapee, who must protect fellow colleauge Dr. Ginny Will from a curse attached to entering the ancient tomb of Pharaoh Ptah-Hotep in Egypt in the Season Four episode of Quantum Leap titled "The Curse of Ptah-Hotep".
