The local full-sized characters launched in January 2008 at the Children's Museum of Jordan, with a show focusing on water. H.E. Dr. Tayseer Al Nuaymi, the Minister of Education, was a guest at the event. In these early shows, Juljul and Tonton walk-arounds would appear with a host. In 2009, an Elmo walk-around was introduced. In 2010, "Springtime with Tonton, Juljul, and Elmo" was launched.
