University of San Francisco (USF) is a private Jesuit and Catholic University in the United States in San Francisco, California. USF was established as San Francisco's first institution of higher learning in 1855. USF rests on a hilltop in a quiet, 51-acre setting between the Presidio and Golden Gate Park and is equidistant from the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay.
