Howlyn was a male Atavus, the ruler of a colony of his people that arrived on the planet Earth around 8 million years ago. Howlyn along with the rest of his kind were forced into stasis during an asteroid shower that engulfed the planet and later awoke millions of years later when the Regeneration chamber was used in an attempt to save the Taelon and Jaridian races. After being awakened, he began reconquering the Earth once more (Episode: Unearthed).
