Because of their scavenger-hunter roots, Adnerem culture was informed by their native traits. Semi-social and tribal, their clans ranged in size from five to twenty individuals which eventually translated to socioeconomic units known as steris. Consisting of five to one hundred members, the groups traditionally maintained sixty-four unrelated adults living within a single steri-house. Each steri-house was a two-storied disc-shaped building which spread heat across all rooms. There sterisi were fiercely loyal to one another and shared maintenance and house-keeping duties equally, holding no biases on the basis of gender or age.
