Dr. Eggman occupied this area during the period when his Operation: Clean Sweep altered reality and reshaped Mobius. Its appearance as a highly industrialized area seemed to have struck some chords in the memories of Sonic the Hedgehog and Boomer, who suggested that the area should have been named Robotropolis or New Megaopolis.
