The Indianapolis Fuel are an expansion team scheduled to being play in the ECHL for the 2014-15 season. They will play at the arena previously known as the Pepsi Coliseum on the ground of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The arena is closed for a $63 million renovation which is scheduled to be done in time for the arena to reopen in April 2014. The team was annouced at a press conference held on November 26, 2014 where the league officially announced the awarding of the team and the team's name. The orangization that owns the franchise is called the Indiana Hockey Club, LLC. They have signed a five year lease and will base operations out of the arena.
