Pet was a human of African descent, the adopted daughter of the musician Tyg. When Pet was about nine months old, she and Tyg crawled out of a bomb shelter together. They were the only two survivors. As a young woman, Pet met T'Pol in San Francisco. (ENT short story: "Universal Chord")
