Red Hurley is an Irish singer. He began his career in 1969 and was a well-established figure on the national music scene before his appearance at Eurovision. In spite of his low finish in the Top 10, the song has continuously been included in setlists at his concerts. He also attempted to represent his country again in 1979 alongside Tina Reynolds, who had appeared at the 1974 Contest, but they finished in last place in the national final.
