The tower block was refurbished in 2005 by Thomas Vale Construction for Birmingham City Council to bring the properties up to the government's Decent Homes Standard. The £1 million scheme took six months to complete and included new windows, concrete repairs to the outside of block, a new roof and exterior paintwork.
