The Winding Water was a river located along the Sword Coast, roughly 250 miles north of Baldur's Gate and the River Chionthar. It flowed from several tributaries, some as far away as the Marsh of Chelimber, and eventually flowed into the Sea of Swords south of the Troll Hills. Notable locations along the river were Boareskyr Bridge, Trollclaw Ford, and Serpent's Cowl. The river also formed the northern boundary of the Fields of the Dead.
