On 19 July 2012, the 200 millionth RuneScape account was created. The CEO of Jagex, Mod Gerhard (Mod MMG), thanked the RuneScape community, and described the milestone as a huge accomplishment for the development team. To celebrate the achievement, Jagex released a microsite which contained a RuneScape timeline, infographics, and player testimonials.
