Robert Lee Redburn was a former KKK member who was a suspect in the murder of two people in a fire set to a black church in Mississippi in 1998. He was also accused of possessing and distributing child pornography. The jury had declared a mistrial on all charges. While he was on bail awaiting retrial, Redburn was murdered by Clay Warner in 2003 during a robbery. After Clay was arrested for the crime, he confessed and demanded the death sentence.
