Sometime after the defeat of the Fold, only a handful of the assimilated supervillains remained active afterwards. Dr. Octopus gathered 5 other Spider-Man villains for the purpose of tracking down and kill Spider-Man, as well as become an anti-S.H.I.E.L.D. force.
