1841: Ming China conquers Tungning (OTL Taiwan) back. 1842: The Himalaya states (Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Kashmir) accept China's authority again, after Tibet did so in 1829 already. British Ceylon becomes independent again, confident that the Brits won't return. 1850s: Uprisings in China (influenced by ideas brought in by Christian missionaries) get out of control. Fifth Ming emperor toppled. 1858: Pegu becomes a New Roman protectorate. 1859: Emperor Ludovico takes Ceylon, laying the foundation for his Indian empire.
