Emiliano Mercado del Toro (21 August 1891 – 24 January 2007) was a verified Puerto Rican supercentenarian. He was the world's oldest person for 44 days, the world's oldest man from 19 November 2004 to his death, and the oldest verified military veteran ever, though he was a non-combat veteran. He was the last remaining documented person born in 1891. He was buried at the Municipal Cemetery of his native town of Cabo Rojo, with mayors, legislators and Puerto Rican "vedette" Iris Chacón in attendance.
