The Latin American Crisis was a time when the two powers in Latin America, Brazil and Mexico (later known as the Central American Union of Quetzalcoatl, or CAUQ). During this time, there were many wars of conquest, both of these nations developed nuclear weapons, and their influence increased globally. The Crisis was finally resolved when Brazil joined the Moscow Pact, a Russian/Eurasian-based alliance competing against NATO in the Second Cold War, which the CAUQ was in.
