From 26 January 2004, a Judge Dredd strip appeared daily in the Metro - a free commuter newspaper available in train and underground stations in London, the Midlands, Scotland, North West, North East and Yorkshire. Each story lasted a week, with each episode consisting of three panels. Artwork was provided by Inaki Miranda or Eva De La Cruz. The initial residency was for six months, though stories appeared until January the following year. Episodes were also posted on the Metro website after initial publication.
