A ground creeper was a plant that was native to the planet Vulcan which was adapted to survive in the low water environment of the Vulcan homeworld. This meant that it was capable of flowering perhaps once every hundred years. However, in a region with relatively an unlimited supply of water, their growth was accelerated and they blossomed all over in great blue flowers. (TOS novel: Enterprise: The First Adventure)
