Kothari was a Starfleet officer in the 24th century. He was the operations officer aboard the USS Excalibur under Captain Morgan Korsmo in 2373, when the ship participated in a fleet defending Earth from an incursion by a Borg cube. Kothari was killed during the encounter. (NF short story: "Making a Difference")
